For the past 20 years Salim has been managing assets for his Family and other Family offices with funds over USD 2 bn. He is active in all the different aspects of the Asset Management from structuring, acquiring, managing and selling, mainly in the hospitality and real estate sectors. Salim has an MBA from Manchester Business School, attended Harvard and London Business School and has given lectures in Finance for 3 years. He speaks English, French and Arabic fluently. Salim is the third generation of the Khoury family.
The Patriarch was Sheikh Boutros El Khoury, who was head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He served as CEO of the North Lebanon Power Company (Kadisha) and is a founding member of several banks (BLOM, Agricultural Credit Bank, ..). He further developed many landmark real estate projects (Tabarja Beach, Monte-Lebano) and invested in strategic development sites. His legacy ranges from real estate assets to investments of more than 100 m USD.
He was then succeeded in 1980’s by Salim Senior, who served also as CEO of the Power Company and now sits on the board of BLOM and other companies and is focusing on real estate investments. He has been a Member of the Board of Directors of BLOM Bank SAL since 1987. He holds a degree in French law from the University of Lyon in France and a degree in Lebanese Law from Saint – Joseph University’s Ecole de Droit de Beyrouth, and has completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
